HFMS students are walking to fight diabetes on November 21.  The School Walk for Diabetes raises funds to support research, information and advocacy efforts for the American Diabetes Association.  Furlough teachers and students will begin their walk at 11 a.m.

Graduation 2009 is scheduled for June 11
According to THS Principal, Tina Schultz, a Garland Special Events Center representative, phoned her Friday, September 5.  Ms. Schultz was told, "There was an oversight on the part of the GEC that resulted in two graduations being scheduled on the same night....one of those schools was a Garland ISD school and the other Terrell High School. Preference is given to the GISD school as the Special Events Center is a GISD facility."  Ms. Schultz immediately compared optional dates given by Garland SEC, and with Mr. Rodgers' approval, confirmed June 11, 2009.

Terrell ISD 2008-2009 Graduation will be Thursday, June 11, 2009, 8 p.m.  Ms. Schultz adds, "The Garland Special Events Center is a great facility for the ceremonies, and we are looking forward to another successful graduation ceremony at SEC."
