serves healthy nutritious, low cost, varied breakfast and lunches,
including free and reduced- price meals based on students financial
needs. This is a list of Lunch and Breakfast prices for the School
year 2006-2007 School year:

THE NATIONAL
SCHOOL LUNCH/BREAKFAST PROGRAM FORMS WILL BE AVAILABLE 30 CALENDAR
DAYS BEFORE SCHOOL BEGINS EVERY YEAR. You may pick up a form at your
child’s school campus or at the Administration Building.
30 CALENDAR DAYS AFTER SCHOOL
BEGINS, IF A NEW FORM HAS NOT BEEN FILLED OUT AND RECEIVED IN THE
FOOD SERVICE OFFICE, FOR THE NEW “CURRENT” SCHOOL YEAR, YOUR
STUDENTS WILL BE TAKEN OFF OF THE PROGRAM WITHOUT NOTICE.
Terrell ISD operates a “closed campus”
for lunch, (all students are required to stay on campus at lunch
time) Parents or Students may PRE-PAY for meals and/or snacks at
any time. PRE-PAID amounts are put on students account. You may
PRE-PAY money for several students at different campuses or
all at one time, at one campus kitchen, through
our Food Service Computer Network.
Food Service must have a
doctor's statement if your child has special needs,
this must be renewed every year.

We do not allow
Students or adults to charge meals/snacks. Students who do not have
Breakfast/Lunch money will be given an ALTERNATE Meal, Meal Includes
2 servings of the Vegetable/Fruit of the day and Milk.
NO CHANGE BACK
For the safety of our
students: We do not want our students to have to carry money around
with them, all day; you may Pre-Pay for Breakfast/Lunch Meals (up to
20 Breakfast and 20 Lunch) and Snack Money into the students
account. If you send cash or check with your child, please remember,
any amount your child does not spend, will be credited to his/her
meal account.
National School
Lunch Forms are available from your child’s campus office,
Administration Building or from the cafeteria. Parents may apply at
any time during the school year. A new form must be turned in to
Food Service every year. Please remember, if your child was on the
National School Lunch/Breakfast Program last year, 30 days after
school starts if you have not completed a new form, our computers
will automatically take the children off the program.

PRE PAY NOTICE
STUDENTS/PARENTS
MAY PAY FOR MEALS DAILY OR PARENTS/STUDENTS MAY PRE-PAY INTO
STUDENTS MEAL ACCOUNT
Money prepaid into Student ID Meal Account will automatically roll
over into next month, unless student is withdrawn from TISD;
otherwise, any money in account at the end of school year is rolled
over to the next school year. If you withdraw your student and have
money still on the students meal account, all you need to do, is go
to Food Service Office and write out a statement saying “Student is
withdrawing” sign your name and add new address, where check can be
mailed

Meals between 7:15 am. and 8:15 am.

Bad Weather
Closing Policy
The district may close schools for a full day or part
of a day because of bad weather or emergency conditions. Check the
district web site or listen to radio stations KPYK, WBAP, KGVL or tune in to
television channels 4, 5, 8, or 11 for official announcements.

The hotline is for students, parents, and/or any community members
who are concerned about a safety issue for TISD students. The
number is monitored daily.
At regular meetings the Board allots
thirty minutes for public comment. more

Free Child ID Kits
As Terrell ISD continues to help protect our school children,
several agencies including Texas Association of School
Administrators, the FBI’s National Child Identification Program, and
the Sheriffs’ Association of Texas have joined efforts with the
Office of Governor Rick Perry through the Texas Department of
Criminal Justice to provide ID kits to all Texas school children,
grades K-6. more info
